At Scrub Portland, we believe in the power of community support, which is why we are excited to announce our monthly house cleaning giveaway! Each month, members of our community have the opportunity to apply for a free house cleaning service, provided at no charge to one lucky winner. Our giveaway aims to assist those who may be struggling to find the time to clean, individuals who are unable to clean due to disabilities or mental health challenges, or anyone looking to simplify their life. To qualify, applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

How It Works

Application Period:
Interested individuals can submit their applications starting from the 1st of each month.
Winner Selection:
One winner will be randomly selected and notified via email on or before the 5th of the following month.
Service Details:
The selected winner will receive one complimentary house cleaning service from Scrub Portland.

Terms & Conditions

Eligibility:
This free cleaning service "Giveaway" is open to legal residents of Oregon aged 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. This service is provided to residents that are within a circumference that is 15+ miles of Northeast Portland. Employees of Scrub Portland and their immediate family members are exempt from participating in the Giveaway.
Entry Period:
The Giveaway begins at 12:00 a.m. [PST] on the 1st of the month and ends at 11:59 p.m. [PST] on the 30th-31st of the same month, ("Entry Period"). Entries submitted after the Entry Period will not be eligible for the month prior but will be considered for the new upcoming month.
How to Enter:
To enter the Giveaway, participants must subscribe to our newsletter, fill out our contestant form, and wait for the winning announcement to be held (we send the winning announcement via email). Each participant may only submit one entry. Multiple entries from the same person will be immediately disqualified.
Selection of Winner:
The winner will be selected randomly from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The selection will be conducted on (or before) the fifth day of the following month. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Notification:
The winner will be notified via email, phone call, or text message within 24 hours of the announcement. If the winner cannot be reached after 3 attempts- or fails to respond within 3 business days of the notification, another winner may be selected.
Lock-Out Policy:
If we have you scheduled in our calendar and you are expecting us, please be ready. We will attempt to knock or ring your doorbell one or two times, if we do not get an answer from you within 10-15 minutes you will forfeit your winnings and another contestant may be selected too schedule with us.
Prize:
The prize consists of one free house cleaning service provided by Scrub. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other services. We do not currently have the staff availability to provide free cleaning services for larger sized homes, homes that are 1200 sq/ft or more will be given the option to choose one or two areas that need to be cleaned (this especially applies to homes that need DEEP cleanings). If your home is already fairly tidy we may be able to clean the entirety of the property with a basic surface cleaning.
Scheduling:
The winner must schedule the house cleaning service within 3 business days of being notified as the winner. The date and time of the cleaning service are subject to staff availability.
Limitation of Liability:
Scrub (Portland) and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury arising out of- or in connection with the House Cleaning Giveaway.
Publicity:
By entering the Giveaway, participants agree to allow Scrub (Portland) to use their name, likeness, and before/after images of their home for promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. As a courtesy we will blur out any sensitive information that is captured as well as any pictures of family members.

Governing Law:
The Cleaning Giveaway and these Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Oregon without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these terms will remain in effect. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you (the contestant who won the cleaning service) and us (Scrub Portland, the service provider) regarding our Cleaning Service(s), and supersedes and replaces any prior agreements or arrangements we might have between us regarding the Cleaning Service(s).

Agreement to Terms:
By participating in the House Cleaning Giveaway, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Modification or Termination:
Scrub (Portland) reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the giveaway at any time for any reason without prior notice.

To request a list of winners, please send an email formally requesting this information to hello@scrubpdx.com. All requests must be received within 5 days after the end of the Entry Period (after the 30th/31st).

Health Hazards and Safety Risks

BROKEN OR DAMAGED ITEMS
We train our staff to take extra care with your belongings, however regrettably and although not common from time to time something may be broken or damaged If there is an item that is believed to be damaged by one of our cleaning professionals, it must be reported to the company within 24-48 hours from the completion of the service in efforts to properly investigate the issue. If we damage anything during the service being provided, we will notify the customer immediately. In the event an item is damaged or broken, we reserve the option to repair or replace the item. We will not take responsibility for items that were damaged because they were not properly attached or secured (for example, a hanging picture that was improperly attached to the wall or an item that is propped against a surface).
LIFTING, CLIMBING AND BENDING
Cleaners do not climb higher than a 3 ft. 2 ft. step ladder, move or lift items heavier than 20lbs, or clean floors on their hands and knees with the exception of bathroom floors. These types of activities put cleaners in danger of back injury or could even be put in a position to damage something in your home. However there might be times when you want us to move furniture for example; tables, large chairs, etc. in these cases we are not responsible for; their breakage due to aged/old or faulty manufacturing nor are we responsible for any damage moving these items may cause to your floor. We will not move furniture that contains electronics, we will not pull out any appliances (for example a stove, fridge, washer/dryer) however if moving it prior to the cleaning visit to allow access we would be more than happy to clean the exposed areas. We do ask that you place the appliances back into it’s proper place as well.
UN-SECURE GLASS SHOWER DOORS, FAUCETS, TOILETS
You are responsible for notifying us if your glass shower door(s), faucets, or toilet are NOT 100% secure. If upon inspection the team recognizes that your shower door(s), toilet or faucet are not fully secure you will be notified of the risks immediately. At that time you have the option to decline service of that item or we can proceed with service. If the client decides to proceed with service- client agrees not to hold Scrub Portland nor its employees responsible if this results in the shower door, toilet, or faucet being damaged. Scrub Portland is not responsible for any damage (water damage included) due to faulty and/or improper installation of any item. This includes but is not limited to any water damage caused by: toilet over flooding, loose or leaky faucets, pipes, water dispenser on refrigerator etc.
HERE IS A LIST OF ITEMS WE WILL NOT DO:
Clean or remove blood or any bodily fluids, fire or water damage, or mold. We are not trained in these areas nor are we equipped.
Scrub Portland reserves the right to refuse service to a home with ANY active rodent or insect infestation (including seasonal). In the event that an infestation is identified, the cleaning staff will leave the property. You will be contacted immediately and charged a cancellation fee.
Clean the interior of curio cabinets, we will do outsides so long as items are SECURED.
Provide any pet, or children-related services, nor empty diaper pails.
Provide laundry services at a dry cleaners.
Clean Chandeliers.
Provide stain removal.
Wash walls (we spot clean only).
Clean exterior of windows.
Remove Rust.
Remove Paint.
Service outdoor area's (this is an add-on service).
Clean areas above the reach of a 3 foot step ladder.
Clean Animal waste or litter.
Move or lift items over 20lbs.
